LokPix Camera

When you enter the Camera mode, you will immediately find yourself in the preview mode, which looks like this:

.
The title bar at the top changes to show camera status (FOCUSING, READY, CAPTURING).  The status indicators below it are (from left to right):

  • The number of open photo slots on this SD card (LokPixLite only - remember the limit per SD card is 25)
  • The unused space on this SD card (in kilobytes)

and settings (from the Settings MENU)

  • The current alternate shutter
  • The current self-timer setting
  • The current picture size
  • The current picture quality
  • The current WhiteBalance mode
  • The current Special mode
    •
As soon as the preview window comes up, the camera will immediately start auto-focusing.  This typically takes a few seconds, then it should settle down and lock onto the center of view.  If the focus gets hopelessly confused (as sometimes happens with the current hardware), press the Back buttno, and enter the Camera mode again.

Once you're ready, line up your shot, and press the shutter button.  The screen will blank, and after a few seconds, you will be prompted to save the picture:

If you select "Yes", LokPix will begin the process of encrypting the image onto the SD card.  You may cancel this process at any time by pressing the Back button.

If you have "Save Without Confirmation" checked in the Camera settings, this dialog is skipped and it goes straight to the Encryption (LokPixPro only).

Note: Encryption takes time!  It can take up to 20 seconds to encrypt a 2048x1536, full-quality image.   Be patient - privacy has some costs.

The Camera has several settings that you may adjust either from the Main Screen, or in Camera mode.  Just press the [MENU] button, and select "Settings".  See HERE for details.
